What is a Community Council?
The Community Council is elected by the people of Killeagh Parish for a period of three years. Their role is to facilitate development within the parish.
This development can take many forms. For example, in the past number of years the Community Council has set up a defibrillator group; developed the playground for Killeagh in Glenbower Wood; Published a book about the History of Killeagh Parish; We have a community care group who have been responsible for installing alarms for the elderly, and we have helped each year in the National Spring Clean.
The Community Council is an active group and always looking for new ideas and people who are interested in playing a part in the community. Please contact us for more information.
