Towards Confident Film Making Learn to make great movies with nothing to hold you back!   A 40 hour programme to develop confidence in young film makers in acting, writing, and directing   Cork Young Filmmakers with Cork Film Centre are delighted to offer 12 places to young people on the 2014 ‘Towards Confident Film Making’, a 40 hour film making programme designed to build confidence in aspiring young filmmakers age 15-21.   Is this For You? Cork County Council Amenity Grants The general purpose of Cork County Council’s Amenity Grants Scheme is aid and encourage works and public amenity schemes for the benefit of residents in the three County health districts of Cork. Fire Safety In The Home

Killegh – Inch Community Council will host a talk on “Fire Safety In The Home” The talk will be on Thursday 24th April in Killeagh Hall at 8 PM The talk will be presented by members of Youghal Fire Brigade.  All are welcome and tea & biscuits will be served. Admission is free.

Daffodil Day Coffee Morning

We are holding a coffee morning for Daffodil Day at O’Mahony’s Bar in Killeagh. The coffee morning will be on Friday 28th March from 10.30 to 12.30.  Extra bits of baking are always welcome, and there will be some spot prizes going! Come along and support this great cause! A Workshop on Governance for voluntary groups. Monday, April 7, 2014 from 7:30 PM – 9:00 PM The need for good governance to protect organisations’ reputations and funding has been clearly demonstrated during the recent debate on the CRC. To assist local community, voluntary and charity groups come to a greater awareness of the challenges of good governance we in Cork County Federation Muintir na Tire in conjunction with SECAD are hosting a workshop which will be held in South and East Cork Area Development (SECAD) Enterprise Centre, Knockgriffin, Midleton on Monday April 7th at 7.30 pm.   There is no charge for attending. Places are Limited so Booking is essential. The Governance Code is a standard created by the voluntary sector, for the sector, and is available free to any group which wishes to use it. Support for Local Funding Agencies

Our community has benefited greatly from the support of SECAD.  They provided much of the funding for our playground, for the publication of the book on the History of Killeagh, and they have supported many other projects locally.
